Living on Your Own. #DormFood

Even though UNI now has the open dining option, there are still times when you have to eat in your dorm room. We all know about the classic microwave options, such as popcorn, Ramen and Easy Mac. Those options are great, but we thought we'd explore some other recipes that can be made in the microwave.

1. Quesadillas. Sprinkle cheese on a tortilla and microwave for less than a minute. Add salsa or any other toppings you'd like. #FiestaDinner

2. Frozen Veggies. Grab a bag of frozen veggies that can be steamed in the bag. Microwave for 5 minutes. #HealthyChoice

3.  Bacon. Place several paper towels on a plate, add several pieces of bacon. Microwave until at desired crispy level. #BaconFTW

4. Scrambled Eggs. Mix eggs in a bowl with a fork and microwave in 30 second increments until cooked. #MmmEggs

5. Brownies. In a coffee mug, mix 4Tbls flour, 4Tbls sugar, 2Tbls cocoa powder, 2Tbls vegetable oil, 2Tbls water, and a dash of salt. Microwave for approx. 1 minute. #BrownieHeaven
