Oh, the Memories you will Make!

When I reflect on the amazing four years I have spent at UNI, most of the things that stand out in my mind are the fun activities and events that I attended as a student. Of course we all go to college to take classes and earn a degree, but you meet your best friends and have a lot of fun by participating in things on campus and in the community.
Some of my favorite events
that I have participated in at UNI include the UNI 5K Color Run, Relay For
Life, and CAB Country Night. All of these events were held at UNI, some
sponsored by student organizations like the Campus Activities Board, and others
were events where people from all over the community joined in for a greater
cause like raising money for cancer research.
Other
special memories that I hope every student gets to experience during their time
at UNI are things like exploring the great recreational parks and trails in the
Cedar Falls area. I love to go bike
riding and roller blading on the paved trails that will take you out to George
Wyth State Park where I like to spend the warmer days hanging out at the
beach. This is a great way to exercise
and enjoy the city that you live in. Just remember that you aren’t in college for very long and you truly have to make the most of it. You have to create a balance of academics, work, and fun to be successful and enjoy your college years. Have fun, explore, get involved and be a Panther!
