{Resources You Should Know: Academic Learning Center

During your time at UNI you will probably have at least one class that is giving you some troubles. You may even be in that class right now. It could be a Liberal Arts Core class, beginning major course or a course that you picked because it seemed like a good elective. Don't keep trying to push through by yourself, the Academic Learning Center is on campus to help!

The Academic Learning Center offers a wide variety of services. Some of those include:
  • Calculator Rental
  • Workshops in Time Management, Study Strategies, and much more!
  • Academic Coaches
  • Writing Help
  • Tutoring Services
  • And MUCH MORE!
For that class you are struggling in, the best place to go is to the Academic Learning Center to meet with a tutor. Tutors are available for most Liberal Arts math and science classes along with some math classes for specific majors. The full list can be found here. There are also tutors available for the Humanities courses, reading and study strategies, Spanish and writing. The best part, their services are FREE!

The Academic Learning Center is open to meet with students from 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday in ITTC 008. If you can't make it during those times, check out the A-Team!

The A-Team meets on Sunday nights from 6:00-9:00pm on the ground floor of Rod Library (follow the signs). During this time, they have several tutors there to help you with your courses. Simply stop on by any time during those hours and there will be someone there to help you whether you need help for 5 minutes or 35 minutes.

Don't wait to fail a paper to visit their office. The Academic Learning Center is here to help you be successful in your academic work at UNI.
